Global Warming

Well, I personally believe that the most well-known but most ignorable matter is the Global Warming and it's effects. Before me many famous person have written or have given many lecture. But as you all know lectures do not have any effects until they are applied into practical field. It's my very small try to aware about global warming. If anyone get benefit It'll be my pleasure.
Some natural and human factors cause global warming. First we will discuss about natural causes.
Natural causes are causes created by nature. One natural cause is a release of methane gas from arctic tundra and wetlands. Methane is a greenhouse gas. A greenhouse gas is a gas that traps heat in the earth's atmosphere. Another natural cause is that the earth goes through a cycle of climate change. This climate change usually lasts about 40,000 years. However, nature have the recovery mechanisms to protect itself from the unwanted changes. But unfortunately human do not have such power.
But human are responsible for global warming more than nature. Rather we can say we, the human are the main culprit for warming now-a-days. Pollution is one of the most biggest man-made cause. Pollution comes in many shapes and sizes. Burning fossil fuels is one thing that causes pollution. Fossil fuels are fuels made of organic matter such as coal, or oil. When fossil fuels are burned they give off a green house gas called CO2. Also mining coal and oil allows methane to escape. Methane is naturally in the ground. When coal or oil is mined you have to dig up the earth a little. When you dig up the fossil fuels you dig up the methane as well.
Another problem is population. There are more then six and half billion person and counting. More population means more food, more shelter, more house, more industry, more agriculture, more vehicles. Now you probably ask," Hey agriculture is itself a victim of global warming, so how it could be responsible?" Well, have you ever been in a barn filled with animals and you smell something terrible? You're smelling methane. Another source of methane is manure. Because more food is needed we have to raise food. Animals like cows are a source of food which means more manure and methane. Except that we are also using insecticides, pesticides or herbicides. They are also responsible.
The above problems result in the deforestation, the worst part of the whole story.
The wars also cause global warming for using modern weapons and nuclear power.
The gases like CFC used in AC, refrigerator etc. It destroy the ozone layer.
Some doubtful persons may say,"Oh yes, the earth had another two warming period and the third i.e. the present stage also like them. It's actually a middle stage between two ice age." Yes I also agree in that the earth also had another two warm age. But they period and temperature was not so high like now.
The effects of global warming may the rising of sea level. The polar region contains near about 600 billions tons of ice. if the totally melted then the sea level will increase about 60 to 100 meters, that means 60% of all land will go to the under of water resulting 1 billion human refugees.
The animals like polar bears who are completely dependent on sea, they may erased form the earth. Another 2100 species will completely erased from the earth.
Now we will learn some ideas to prevent global warming.
Avoid chlorine at all cost! Use of any chlorine compounds is very harmful to the environment including bubbles in plastic foam, spray paint, fire extinguishers, bleach and a multitude of discarded household and industrial chemicals. Phosphates found in many laundry detergents and soaps contributes to water pollution and should be avoided. Aerosols such as air fresheners and hair sprays can contain butane/pentane which contributes to air pollution and should be avoided. What out for products that are "bleached" white (ie.baby wipes, writing paper) and look for companies that offer the same products which are whitened with peroxide and chlorine dioxide which is less harmful to the environment.
It is very beneficial to use recycled paper or to use products that are manufactured from ecologically managed forests.
Due to the harmful process of making fossil fuels, we should do what we can to reduce their production. Weatherstripping, insulation and proper ventilation will go along way to reducing the amount of heat your home needs. Use of cold water instead of hot will reduce the amount of energy needed, as well only running dishwashers and washing machines when full.
Use public vehicles as much as possible.
One thing we have to remember as much we know we are alone in this whole universe. From the ancient time all bad or good incident occur in our planet only. And we have the responsibility to save our home which has given to us instead of finding another.
Please say how it is? And if anyone have extra information please share with me through comment.
